What I wore

Grey Cape Sweater

Have you noticed a theme? I am totally into cape sweaters. I find that they add the right amount of warmth without adding too much bulk. I love the way they drape and add drama to an outfit.

In the last look I talked about Jean Machine’s collaboration with Second Denim. Today I am wearing a pair of Yoga Jeans. I have worked with Second Denim in the past helping them promote their giveways but this is the first time I have actually worn a pair of the Yoga Jeans.

The premise behind the line is that they had to be comfortable enough that a woman could actually practice yoga in them. I would say that these jeans live up to that promise. These are hands down the most comfortable jeans I own. They hug my curves in all the right ways. In fact I have more expensive premium denim that are more constricting and uncomfortable than these jeans. Plus I love the fact that these jeans are 100% Made in CANADA!

The pair that I am wearing in these pictures is the High Rise Skinny Ankle in black. I bought them to replace my Madewell Skinny Skinny high riser jeans that I had seen better days and were really faded. In comparison the Yoga jeans are softer, snugger fit (in a good way – they hug the curves better), are warmer and not quite as high in the rise. I would still recommend the Madewell jeans, but I like the weight of these Yoga jeans better. The only drawback for me is that even though these are an ankle cut they are a bit too long for my 5’4 self. Taller girls rejoice.

In fact I would say that if you are not a denim lover, or are curvy and can not find a skinny jean that fits well,  you should try Yoga Jeans out because you might change your tune as these fit so good.  Plus these jeans retail for around $100, so it is like getting premium denim on sale.
