Sweater with Zipper details

I had been eying this JCREW merino wool sweater with zipper details on the side and now that it is on sale it was time to pull the trigger. The zippers make it fun for layering and elevate a basic sweater into something a bit more special.

I layered my borderie anglaise top from Banana Republic that I picked up in the spring and unzipped the sweater a bit on the side to let the trim show through. Once it gets colder I will do the same with some plaid flannel.

I kept the rest of the look really simple with my black jeans and black suede heels.

After the hottest blast of summer we have had all summer last week it turned cool so I didn’t feel like a blogger cliche trying to force fall clothes during the Indian Summer. I don’t know that we are going to get alot of the super hot temperatures that we have had in other years, which is just fine with me!

I have a few ideas for this sweater. I think it will work just as well for the office as it does here for the weekend.

On a totally different note I chopped a couple inches off my hair this past week. I am loving it! Feels fresh and light and a length that feels more like me. I tried growing it out and the longer it got the more I just wasn’t in love with the look. I tried a salon here in Kitchener and I am happy with the results. So sorry to my previous hairdresser in Toronto whom I assured I would be back on the regular to get my hair cut. Sometimes the drive back in Toronto is just too daunting. And I left it so long that I needed it done asap. Voila Salon reminded me a lot of Fiorio and I will be back.
