torontoShopoholic turns 5 & I am giving MORE stuff away!

When I started torontoShopoholic five years ago I had no intentions of style blogging. I don’t even think I really was aware of personal style bloggers in 2009. My intentions were to share all the shopping in Toronto in a niche site that only talked about the shopping neighbourhoods and profiled local boutiques.

This means over the years I have been into ALOT of shops and have met many owners of these small businesses that make shopping in Toronto special. Some have come and gone, others have grown into what I call Toronto Mini Chains (shops that have more than one location locally).

One such shop is bluboho. They have the esteemed pleasure of being the one shop I have profiled outside of Toronto. I drove to Oakville to check out this boutique that I had caught wind of via Twitter and wanted to visit. I don’t think it was a year later they were opening their Yonge & Eglinton location.

The vibe in their stores is very free spirited with the shabby chic decor and jewellery that ranges from friendship and wrap bracelets to crystal necklaces. Most if not all of the jewellery is selected for the meaning and message behind the design. You can find designers like Alex & Ani, Chan Luu, pyrrha and more.

I am so pumped to say that Cheryl & Maggie of bluboho have donated a fantastic necklace to the torontoShopoholic turns 5 festivites!
