Think Pink; the Pink Coat Trend
This past week while at Zara I tried on a pale pink coat.
I wasn’t sure if I was into the whole pink coat thing but turns out I am.
I think it goes back to the mint green coat I almost bought at H&M last year. It was a great coat but I thought a bit expensive considering I found it at H&M so I decided to pass. But now it is one of those things I kick myself about since the whole pastel coat has exploded through the fashion scene this year.
This is a trend that has been slowly popping up on fashion insiders for a while now. The one that sticks out in my mind is this pastel blue beauty on Hanneli. In fact she wore a gorgeous pink coat to the Fall Winter shows in Paris this past spring.
This is the year that the pastel coat, and more specifically the pink coat goes from more than just a few fashion insiders to seeing it on the street.
1. Zara short wo0len overcoat in pink
3. P.A.R.O.S.H ‘Eve’ belted coat
4. SIMONE ROCHA Spongy Mesh Tailored Coat
5. ROCHAS Over-sized Virgin Wool Blend Coat
7. RED Valentino Single-breasted crepe coat
other affordable versions HERE, HERE and HERE
So what it comes down to is this is the year of the pastel pink coat. Or plaid or biker or even contrast sleeves but those are all for another post.
So did I buy that Zara pink coat? No. Not yet anyway. August seems a bit crazy early to be buying a Winter coat. But September. That seems like a great time to revisit it don’t you think?

I love pink coats but afraid of the dirt!

I am completely impractical that way. I would just ignore that factor. I am more worried about not liking it/being over the pink half way through the season.

it really is a great shade. Not bubblegum-y at all!
