Business on the top, Summer on the bottom

I am not really a fan of shorts. I am not sure why they are so hard to find a good fit because they shouldn’t be that different than pants but they so are.

I am so known as not a fan of shorts that my husband exclaimed “Hey! You are wearing shorts!” Well it is hot. And I found these pretty yellow pair on sale via Banana Republic.

I did size up for these shorts as I found the size that I normally wear didn’t give a clean easy line. They fit around the waist but were too tight and short on the thigh.

In fact I bought another pair of shorts from Banana two sizes up from my normal size so they fit lower on the waist and have more of a loose trouser feel.

I never did work anywhere that you could wear shorts to work but I imagine this is how I would style shorts for the office.

Neutral blazer, fun coloured or printed short (I almost bought these shorts from Loft), walkable wedge heel to make my legs look fab and necklace to finish it all off.
