Evil Eye Necklace

Over the last year or so I have noticed the Evil Eye Necklace grow in popularity as a fashion necklace in western countries.

Originally made to ward off the evil eye or stink eye which was (is?) believed to curse or injure or create bad luck for the person at which it is directed. The evil eye is an extremely popular tourist item in countries like Greece, Turkey and other middle eastern nations.

Now in North America giving someone the evil eye or stink eye is more a sign of frustration with someone as opposed to truly cursing them but I guess you can never be too careful.
