In the Army

camo jeans army jacketI actually really never thought I would wear my army jacket and these camo jeans together. But the greens are actually complimentary so I thought why not? And I love the way the army green and blacks go together.

camo jeans army jacketI wore this outfit to hunt down the bag in the pictures. It is a vintage coach bag and really loving it. This size bag is a huge contrast to the huge bags I usually carry with me that is filled with everything from diapers and snacks to lipsticks and my wallet.

vintage coach bag torontoI picked this vintage Coach Station bag up at House of Vintage in Parkdale. They have a great collection of bags, some really unique. I did a quick search and this bag is likely from the 1980′s based on the serial number on the stamp and the fact that it was made in the USA.

About 10 years ago you might have caught me saying “I will never carry a Coach bag!” back when the canvas logo bags were all the rage. I love the heritage styles though and buying them vintage is an affordable way to get this style. You can easily pick one up for under $100 unless it is one of the more rare styles on the market. I might just start a little collection.

The link is blocked on my (work) computer – but are those the Gap skimmer jeans? I have been eying them for a while but was worried about the size. I usually cannot fit in their skinny jeans and would love to know if you had any sizing issues. I think this outfit is fabulous – the coat really looks good with the pants!

They are the Gap Skimmer jeans! And in the past I avoided the GAP skinny jeans like the plague because my size was too tight and sizing up just left the jeans looking well not as they intended. I ordered these online and was surprised how good they fit as I was expecting to send them back due to my previous history with their skinny jeans. I got the petite length and they just work on all my curvy bits so that is great. And I love how they are actually cropped on me and I didn’t have to hem them. I don’t think petite is an issue for you but I would try the skimmers out.

I just got my new vintage Coach bag today! I really wanted a Willis but kept losing on eBay. I got it on Etsy for $50! I’m so excited :)

I was looking on etsy and ebay before I just decided to check out locally but I am really pumped. I seriously considering a collection of the various styles if I can find them for not crazy $$$.
