what I want

Mad for Plaid

Plaid is one of those patterns that immediately conjures images of school girl skirts and jumpers. It is also a fabric that tends to show up around Christmastime.

But I have noticed lately that iconic tartans are being reinvented and moving beyond holiday ribbon and the kilt.

I tweeted my love for this amazing All Saint’s Check Parka earlier in the week and this pin had me searching for something similar.

What do you think of these modern interpretations of plaid? Or do you think tartans should stick to Holiday Wreaths?

Personally I love that Vivienne Westwood dress and a plaid coat could be super fun. Even these plaid brogues would make a plain outfit stand out if only I could afford them!
