Dressing for Fashion Week; Cool Jeans
I have been a bit addicted to Emily Current and Merritt Elliott’s Ask a Stylist series for Who What Wear. I particularly liked the latest on what to wear to New York Fashion Week. Since Toronto Fashion Week is right around the corner I thought I would test drive some of the Celebrity Stylist advice for myself.
I had some assistance with my photos, if you look closely you can see my daughter hiding behind me.
Merritt & Emily totally condone wearing jeans to a fashion event if you style them just right. Pair them with a girly blouse and strappy sandals. I chose a drapey jacket and booties.
These jeans are actually a skinny jean that is a size too big. I find that they give the right amount of slouch without being too loose through the leg.
Outfit details; Jacket Club Monaco (similar), Jeans Joe Fresh, Booties Michael by Michael Kors via Winners (HERE in taupe or HERE in suede), Bag Stuart Weitzman via Winners (old), Necklace Urban Outfitters (old).

Yea! Glad to virtually meet another Toronto blogger! Personally I think it depends on the event. If I was watching Fashion shows during the day I would totally do jeans, but in a jazzed up way. Evening events are another story!
