Three ways I am wearing Red Pants
To me Red pants are the easiest of all coloured pants to style. Maybe it is because they are a primary colour or that red is so classic, or maybe I just like red, whatever it is these red pants just work with what I already have in my closet.
You might be in shock that I am not wearing denim. I don’t blame you but I have had my eye on a pair of pants that have the day to day versatility of denim without adding to my already exploding denim collection.
What I like about this pant is that while slim though the leg it is more flattering than a skinny jean. On me anyways.
One of the first things in my closet I wanted to pair with these red trousers is my black and white print shirt. I am really loving this combination, it might even be my favourite.
Of course my denim shirt is an obvious pairing. It is the I don’t want to have to think too hard about what to wear today combination.
Beige and red is another colour combination that really works. I tried to keep it from being too boring by pairing the red pants with an open knit sweater which is great for this transition season.
I still have endless ideas on what to pair with these pants. Stripes, mustard yellow, white and grey. I am even thinking a hot pink silk blouse might be in order and not just for Valentines day!

hey! Just wanted to say thanks for the comment on my shopaholic post. I definitely need to look back into my closet when I feel the urge to shop.
THAT SAID, I just saw your Joe Fresh post and that baseball tee with sequin sleeves? Ugh, I feel the shopping urge again. Thanks;)

Oh no problem. I have been having alot of the same thoughts lately because shopping has become more of a compulsion at times than necessity. I keep pinning looks that I could totally recreate from my closet and I need to focus on that more.
But yes I am thankful for the crazy lines at that shopping night because my hatred of lineups is much stronger than my want to shop!

Great red pants! I like the pairing with the jean shirt.

Thanks so much Kerri, it is probably the one that will get thrown on the most.

Thanks April,
You know before that pairing I wasn’t entirely sold on that top. I knew it could be fabulous but I just hadn’t gotten there and I really love that combo above.

Jane, can you say hot? I don’t like to follow trends but red pants can be so in. You can dress them up or down. Just picture them as layered jeggings or wear them classy with a touch of tuxedo stripe and a classy heel; maybe even a cigarette pant. I mean who needs plain old black pants, if you find the right fit, then red can be the new black. How fun.
